Planning for adults and children with special needs has faced many challenges over the years, with legislative battles, myths told to parents, misinformation, and pure confusion over the planning options that are available for parents of children with special needs and adults with special needs.
During this workshop, we start with the basic issues of SSI versus SSDI benefit programs, the differences between Medicare and Medicaid, how you get them, when the beneficiary qualifies, and planning options to avoid the old methods of ignoring the beneficiary’s needs.
This program has been approved for 2 CE credits by the NASW.
Lunch will be provided.
